I’m Jeannie Zelasko, a professional food photographer and stylist. I live outside Buffalo, New York where I work remotely in my home studio.
For several years I had a food blog which is what got me into photographing food. Eventually I realized photography was what I loved the most and sold my blog so I could focus on food photography. From having the blog, I gained experience with shooting food once it is prepared but also in the process of making it.
I truly get excited on shoot days and love to bring out the natural beauty of food. My goal is to make the viewer feel the same excitement about the food as I do. I make sure to use creative styling when picking out the best props and backdrops that will enhance the food and also picking out the best colors for food being photographed.
Also, photographing food is more than a beautiful photo to me. It can tell a great story. I love looking at photos of recipes I make with my family and the wonderful memory it brings me back to. I love to capture the story of the food being photographed.
